Ounce Labs and its featured speaker, Fran Howarth will present the results from her recent report titled, “Winning Outsourcing Strategies – How to Increase Value and Reduce Risk.” To help educate managers about the importance of outsourcing strategies, Ms. Howarth will discuss the findings from 200 interviews with leading organizations from the U.S. and UK regarding their development outsourcing strategies.

The report found that nearly 20 percent of outsourced development projects result in legal action for failed projects, yet fewer than 20 percent define application security requirements and standards up front. Another surprising finding is that less than 50 percent of financial firms mandate data-handling controls, compared to 70 percent in the public sector and in retail.
