"Given the current economy, it's extremely important that institutions
understand the impact of losing students to attrition. With effective
retention strategies, institutions will not only increase their bottom line,
but also their prestige and ability to recruit new, quality students.
With EMT Retain, Concordia can streamline communications and administrative tasks with an early alert automation process, allowing staff more availability to personally interact with at-risk students. Concordia will work with Hobsons to determine strategic communication goals and develop a communication plan that allows for personalization for each student. Through EMT Retain's filtering tools, the university will then have the ability to view and flag students who are considered "at-risk," based on data collected from communication plans.
To make an impact in the next year, Concordia will utilize the experience of Hobsons' Managed Services team to implement and run EMT Retain. The Managed Services team will develop communication plans, proactively deploy communication as needed, modify efforts based on response, and analyze and strategize based on student data.
"At Concordia, we realize that our students' experiences are based on
multiple factors. Concordia is excited to begin using Hobsons' EMT Retain to
improve our student retention strategies. With the help of Hobsons' Managed
Services team, we know we will be able to make an impact on our retention
rates quickly and easily," said
