Fortify Software Names John True as Chief Operating Officer

Seasoned leader brings over 20 years of experience to application security market leader

SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortify Software, the market leader in Software Security Assurance solutions, today announced the appointment of John True as Chief Operating Officer (COO). A 20-year veteran in enterprise software and information technology markets, True brings extensive experience in sales, general management, and business development with high growth technology firms to Fortify's seasoned management team as the company continues its record growth into 2009.

As COO, True will oversee the rapid growth of the company's global sales, services and channel organizations. He will also be responsible for expanding Fortify's network of integration, outsourcing and consulting partners who deliver the company's Software Security Assurance solutions to organizations worldwide.

True most recently served as Vice President of the Americas for Equallogic, prior to its $1.4B acquisition by Dell in 2008. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of WW Sales at Ariba, a developer of Enterprise Spend Management Software. True has also held senior sales and management positions with Parametric Technology Corporation, while revenues grew from $5M to $1B, and served as the CEO of Mobile Resource Management firm Agilis Systems. True holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Missouri.
