Absolute's LoJack for Laptops Now Available at U.S. Best Buy Retail Locations

VANCOUVER, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Absolute(R) Software Corporation ("Absolute" or the "Company") (TSX: ABT), the leading provider of firmware-based, patented, computer theft recovery, data protection and secure IT asset management solutions announced today that its Computrace(R) LoJack(R) for Laptops product line is now available at the 1,010 Best Buy U.S. stores and online at bestbuy.com.

How Absolute's LoJack for Laptops Solutions Work

LoJack for Laptops is powered by Absolute's patented Computrace technology. The Computrace Agent is virtually undetectable and calls home to the Absolute Monitoring Center with location information. When embedded in the firmware of computers from leading computer manufacturers, Computrace can survive operating system re-installations, as well as hard-drive reformats, replacements and re-imaging.(2) The Computrace Agent can be activated by customers when they purchase a subscription for LoJack for Laptops ranging from 1-4 years.

Backed by the Absolute Theft Recovery Team
