Websense(R) Announces Embedded Support of Websense Enterprise and Security Suites With New NS Series Appliances From Network Engines

SAN DIEGO, July 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Websense, Inc. , the world's leading provider of employee internet management solutions, and Network Engines, Inc. , a leading provider of best practice security appliances, today announced an agreement to seamlessly embed award-winning Websense Enterprise(R) and Websense(R) Web Security Suites(R) software onto the recently released Network Engines NS Series Security Appliances. The entire NS Series Security Appliances family combines the industry leading performance of Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 application firewall, VPN and web cache solution with trusted Network Engines appliance expertise, ease of use and total lifecycle management.

Websense web filtering software helps protect organizations and employees from an increasing number of internal and external online threats. The integration of Websense Enterprise and Websense Web Security Suite will provide Network Engines customers with an additional layer of advanced web security for mitigating spyware, malicious mobile code, phishing attacks, instant messaging attachments, and other web-based threats. Websense software features over 90 categories of web content, in more than 50 languages, allowing organizations to set highly flexible internet usage policies for employees.

The second appliance, the NS6300, provides comprehensive security designed for mid-sized enterprises. Finally, the NS6400 is intended for large organizations and enterprises with the highest performance requirements and supports up to 1000 users.
