Arrive Air Service Begins Affordable Private Air Travel From Nashville to Atlanta

Posted on: Tuesday, 5 July 2005, 09:00 CDT

New Service Gives Nashville Travelers Flexibility and Economy When Flying to Mid-size Cities

Nashville air travelers just got a new way to fly to Atlanta. Arrive Air Service announced today that it will fly passengers aboard private airplanes from Nashville International Airport to Atlanta's small, reliever airports like Lawrenceville's Briscoe Field and Covington Municipal Airport. Now Nashville travelers who want to avoid the hassles and time-constraints of flying into and out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport have an affordable alternative.

Another advantage of flying Arrive Air is the passengers can arrive 15 minutes before departure, hand their luggage directly to the person loading it on the plane, and usually park for free.

Since Arrive flies 6-passenger Piper Navajo Chieftain twin engine airplanes, passengers can fly to Atlanta on private planes for about the cost of a standard coach ticket. Arrive offers flights on a "shared-charter" basis which significantly reduces the cost of private air travel and allows Arrive greater flexibility with its departure times. Flights can be booked in as little as 24 hours in advance.

"Business travelers need an economical alternative to flying on large airlines," said Arrive Air CEO Benson F. Smith. "There are certain problems and inconveniences of air travel that the large airlines will never be able to address."

Smith contends that an easier and more economical alternative to the large airlines is for small groups of business travelers to charter an airplane on a shared basis. Since the price is based on per seat, not per airplane, up to six people can cost-effectively share one of Arrive Air's planes and fly from Nashville to one of Atlanta's small airports.

Nashville passengers can also charter an entire plane for themselves and family members or business associates. The full charter flights can travel to almost any city--large or small--that's located within 325 miles of Nashville. Birmingham, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Lexington, Memphis, and St. Louis are among the cities Arrive Air can fly to from Nashville.

Arrive configured its airplanes to comfortably seat up to six passengers. Leather-upholstered club chairs are arranged with ample leg room.

According to Smith, these twin engine planes are more economical to operate than jets for short hops from Nashville to cities like Atlanta. The savings includes the time a passenger doesn't have to spend waiting around Hartsfield. After a passenger arrives at the Nashville airport, for instance, he can be in the Atlanta suburbs in about an hour and 15 minutes.
