DideoNET Builds High-Performance HD Streaming Video Solution on ViewCast Osprey-700e HD Video Capture Card

PLANO, Texas, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ViewCast Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: VCST), a developer of industry-leading hardware and software for the transformation and delivery of professional-quality video over IP and mobile networks, today announced that its award-winning Osprey- 700e HD video capture card is being used by DideoNET Co. Ltd. located in Seoul, Korea to enable streaming of live HD video that is comparable to conventional HD television broadcasts. The streaming video is delivered via DideoNET's innovative SeeLive software encoder, part of the company's SeeMedia series of multimedia solutions.

The Osprey-700e HD is an HD-SDI and SD-SDI A/V input card designed expressly for real-time capture in a 24/7-unattended environment. The card is capable of adapting automatically to incoming SD and HD standards without interrupting the encoding session, and it also provides advanced features required in broadcasting applications, such as cropping, watermark overlay, de-interlacing, and closed-caption extraction and rendering.

Using a high-speed PCI Express bus, the ViewCast card enables SeeLive to deliver 1280 x 720 video from 700 kbps to 1 mbps at up to 30 fps while maintaining latency at less than 2 seconds.
