Advanced UI
ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 features an advanced UI engine and middleware that enable licensees to create state-of-the-art user experiences with Hollywood-style graphics and transition effects with added support for 2.5 and 3D graphics environments. Enhanced flexibility allows different applications, from different environments, to co-exist and be concurrently executed. Content -- such as contacts, appointments, videos or photos -- can be rendered anywhere, not just within one application.
ACCESS will be demonstrating ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 running on Texas Instruments Zoom(TM) OMAP34x-II Mobile Development Platform in both the ACCESS and Texas Instruments booths during Mobile World Congress as well as at the LiMo Foundation booth.
"The flexibility of the ACCESS Linux Platform complements our OMAP34x product family," said
LiMo Compliance
ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 delivers on ACCESS' commitment to provide LiMo compliance to help OEMs/ODMs, operators and application developers reduce development requirements and time-to-market for LiMo devices. Furthering its support for the LiMo Foundation and the advancements of mobile Linux innovation, ACCESS has also contributed components to the LiMo Reference Platforms that will further ease the deployment of sophisticated and differentiated LiMo devices. ACCESS' Strategic Contributing Offer (SCO) is a subset of ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0.
"We are pleased to count ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 as one of the LiMo Compliant products showcased at this year's Mobile World Congress," said
SDK Leverages Advanced Capabilities
The ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 SDK enables the development of native applications for LiMo-compliant devices. By wielding the full power of the Eclipse IDE software development platform, the ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 SDK runs in the ACCESS Linux Platform(TM) Simulator. Also available on the ACCESS(TM) Developer Network (ADN) website at http://www.accessdevnet.com, the SDK allows users to create user interfaces with GUI builder tools.
"ACCESS continues to deliver on its promise to provide a broad range of solutions that are right for today's fast-paced market. We remain committed to setting the standard for mobile Linux devices, and ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 is the next step in our technology evolution," said
