Bizanga and Yandex Partner to Offer a Messaging Security Platform for Russian Carriers & Service Providers

SAN MATEO, California and MOSCOW, February 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Bizanga, provider of the world's leading email and message management platform, today announced an extended partnership with Yandex, Russia's largest internet search engine and a leading Russian internet and technology company. In this partnership, Bizanga has integrated Yandex' proprietary spam-protection software Spamooborona into its Intelligent Message Processor(R) (IMP) platform specifically to address the Russian market. The solution is already operational in a major national and regional carrier and is available immediately.

Spamooborona already protects the mailboxes of millions of users, filtering out approximately 95 percent of junk email. It was developed after having proven to be an effective solution to guard against spam on the Yandex.Mail service, and made available as commercial software in 2005. Since that time, hundreds of companies including some of Russia's largest service providers such as Comstar UTS, Golden Telecom/Beeline and E1 have adopted Spamooborona to keep their email clean of spam.

With spam increasingly localized, the combination of Bizanga's carrier class email gateway and Yandex Spamooborona uniquely addresses the needs of Russian service providers by utilizing Yandex' specialized technology and local market knowledge to provide a powerful and massively scalable solution to their messaging abuse problems.
