Residents in Granite City, Illinois to Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancements

New Cell Site Means Clearer Reception, Fewer Dropped Calls

GRANITE CITY, Ill., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated a new cell site in Granite City, Ill., which will enable more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The new cell site, located near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Nameoki Road in Granite City, improves coverage in the area bounded by Pontoon Road in the north, East 23rd Street in the south, Maryville Road in the east and Missouri Ave. in the west.

This network improvement is part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, improve capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Illinois and throughout the country.
