Galazar Introduces a Pre-Integrated WDM Muxponder Reference Design – Ideal for rapid introduction of multi-rate client support on existing WDM platforms
Optical client interfaces include 10 SFPs operating from 125 Mb/s to 4.25 Gb/s and one XFP operating from 9.953 Gb/s to 10.7 Gb/s. These provide support for multi-rate Ethernet, FICON, ESCON, FibreChannel, SONET/SDH and OTN protocol terminations as well as flexible bit rate and protocol independent transport. DVB-ASI, SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI digital video clients are supported on these optical ports as well as via coaxial copper. WDM optical network connections are provided by four XFPs operating from 9.953 Gb/s to 10.7 Gb/s and another two SFPs operating at 2.488 Mb/s for SONET/SDH and OTN protocol support.
Control and monitoring functions are implemented within Galazar’s DeviceManager(TM) and ServiceManager(TM) RTOS independent software running on a PowerQUICC II(TM) microprocessor. In addition to the features provided by Galazar’s products,
