China Game Publishers Association On Giving Full Support to ‘China Game Developers Conference 2009′

BEIJING, March 17 /PRNewswire-Asia/ — With the progress of CGDC’09 which
is sponsored by China Game Publishers Association and Howell International
Trade Fair Ltd., China Game Publishers Association issued a Letter of Support
to encourage all its members to participate in the 2nd China Game Developers
Conference (CGDC) as one of the sponsors of CGDC.

After the conference program and topics were released in recent days, the
organizing committee started inviting speakers. As one of the sponsors of CGDC,
China Game Publishers Association officially issued a Letter of Support
encouraging all its members to give their full support to CGDC. Being the sole
exchange platform in the game developing field in domestic China, the
conference is the best opportunity to learn about advanced game development
technology in the industry with its professional and international operation.
The Game Publishers Association also emphasized that “Member companies should
not give support to any other similar events held in mainland China” to ensure
the uniqueness and authority of the CGDC. Members of the Game Publishers
Association have strongly supported this conference both in mind and
participation. Their supervisors have joined the honorary advisory board and
provided many technical professors to join the executive advisory board. At
the same time, they have given many suggestions on speakers to ensure that the
content is much more professional.

      On Giving Full Support to "China Game Developers Conference 2009"

In the recent years, the General Administration of Press and Publication
of P.R. China, taking serving the industry as its objective, has put
industrial development as its priority and strongly supported the development
of domestic game companies. It has not only encouraged the enterprises to
adopt the management strategy of “getting bigger and stronger”, but also
established for them four platforms to better facilitate their growth,
including ChinaJoy, Census of China Game Industry, China Game Industry Annual
Conference and China Game Developers Conference (CGDC). All of these efforts
have played an important role in strengthening the core competence of the
domestic game industry and enhancing its sustainable development and
prosperity. With the industry taking shape and getting ready for further
upgrade, the Technology and Digital Publication Department of the General
Administration of Press and Publication of P.R. China has decided to further
promote the name and standing of CGDC and make better use of it to accelerate
game R&D in China. Therefore, the host of CGDC — China Game Publishers
Association — was urged to get fully prepared for the coming conference.

Under the aforesaid instruction from the government authorities, the China
Game Publishers Association made up the Preparation Plan for the Second China
Game Developers Conference. The 2nd CGDC, which will be held along with
ChinaJoy on July 24 to 26, 2009 in Shanghai International Convention Center,
is an effort to enhance the R&D capabilities of Chinese game companies by
facilitating international exchange and cooperation. Game developers will have
a precious opportunity to hear the renowned experts and professionals from
home and abroad to share with them their experience, technological innovations
and application know-how in game design, programming, audio, visual effect,
etc. Thus, in order to have a successful conference, will all the member
companies and organizations please assist us in the following:

    1. Member companies and organizations should pay special attention and
       give full support to CGDC. This conference is the one and only platform
       serving the domestic game R&D that is jointly built by the government
       authorities and industrial association of publication. As a highly
       international and professional conference, it furnishes the industry a
       golden opportunity to exchange experience with and learn from top-notch
       developers. Member companies and organizations please pay special
       attention to this conference and participate actively in its events.
    2. Member companies and organizations should not support similar events
       held in the country. After comprehensive coordination, China Game
       Publishers Association has managed to move the conference to ChinaJoy.
       With the 2nd CGDC held during ChinaJoy, participants will not only be
       able to cut their expenses but the largest possible number of game
       developing companies and its developers will have access to this event.
       This is also an effort to ensure that CGDC is the only conference of
       its kind and that its authoritativeness and goals will be achieved.
       Therefore, the China Game Publishers Association would like to call on
       all member companies and organizations to refrain their support to any
       similar domestic event so that resources will be concentrated on this
       conference.
    3. The companies and organizations whose leaders hold such posts as deputy
       director and standing director of the committee should give active
       support of human and intellectual resources to CGDC: top leaders should
       take the position of Honorary Advisor and technology professionals the
       positions of Executive Advisor and speaker. These companies and
       organizations should also support their leaders' and employees'
       participation in CGDC, especially the work in CGDC's Advisory Body.
    4. Member companies and organizations should feel free to offer
       constructive suggestions to the hosting of CGDC and the China Game
       Publishers Association will give timely consideration. Suggestions
