Telrex Joins Mitel Solutions Network

Posted on: Monday, 29 September 2003, 06:00 CDT

KIRKLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2003--Telrex, a leading developer of workplace recording and monitoring software, announced today that it has become a member of Mitel's partner program--the Mitel Solutions Network. Telrex's CallRex(TM) product, an IP-based telephone call recording and monitoring product for small and medium businesses, now supports Mitel's ICP 3300 and 3100 IP telephone systems. CallRex is the only packet-based call recording and monitoring product in the Mitel Solutions Network.

"CallRex fills a real need in the market," said John Hawat, president of Maxim Networks, a platinum level Mitel reseller. "CallRex customers typically realize a 50-60 percent cost savings by going with a packet-based solution like CallRex, because it does not require additional third-party hardware as do legacy-based solutions. Also, CallRex has a full suite of advanced features, yet is easy to install and maintain."

CallRex saves detailed information about every recorded phone call. Calls can be recorded and monitored on an ad-hoc basis or via automatic triggers and can be flagged with additional information. Specific recordings can then be located via multiple search criteria such as date/time, user name, inbound number, caller ID, recording group, or flagged name or value. Multiple playback options allow users to listen to recorded phone calls through the phone or through computer speakers. Recorded calls can be viewed by day, week, month, or custom date range. Managers can assign monitoring, recording, and playback rights on a per-user basis and can also track calls from multiple remote locations through one interface.

"We are very pleased to be accepted as a Mitel Solutions Network member and to provide full support for the Mitel ICP 3330 and 3100 telephone systems," said Robert Kapela, Telrex president. "The list of IP-based telephone systems we support has grown to the extent that we now support more IP-based telephone systems than any other vendor."

CallRex is now compatible with IP-enabled telephone systems from Mitel, 3Com and Avaya. In addition to being a member of Mitel's Solutions Network, Telrex is also a member of the 3Com NBX Solution Provider Program and the Avaya Developer Program.
