Writer-producer Peter Ocko so impressed Paramount TV Network with TV pilot 3 lbs. that Paramount hired him to sell CBS on the show and develop new projects.
Among Ocko's first duties under the two-year development deal is writing a second script for 3 lbs., referring to the weight of the human brain.
CBS, which passed on picking up the show for the fall season, is considering it for a midseason replacement and the show's cast remains under contract.
Peter Ocko is a gifted writer that impressed us with his '3 Lbs.' script and the ultimate development of the pilot, David Stapf, president of Paramount Network TV, told The Hollywood Reporter.
His unique vision and strong point of view should ensure exciting development projects in the future, Stapf said.
Ocko's writing credits include Boston Legal and Baby Blues.
