LEAGUE CITY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2003--Eagle Broadband, Inc. (AMEX:EAG), a leading supplier of broadband products, services and content, announced today that its Atlantic Pacific Communications subsidiary has signed a $185,000 contract to provide the installation of outside-plant fiber optic cable segments to support a new process control system for Lubrizol Corporation, a fluid technology company that concentrates on high-performance chemicals, systems and services for industry and transportation.

According to Greg Smith, Atlantic Pacific's Acting President and Chief Financial Officer, "The process control project is a continuation of our 12-year relationship with Lubrizol and will be coordinated and supervised by the Lubrizol Engineering Department. It will involve the installation of 18 segments of Corning outside-plant fiber optic cable, totaling over 12,500 feet. Approximately 9,000 feet of new rigid conduit will also be installed to provide protection and routing for the fiber optic cable segments. The project is scheduled to begin in early June and should be complete by the end of August."

Smith went on to note that Atlantic Pacific is a Corning Cable Systems-registered Extended Warranty Partner and will install, terminate and test the fiber optic cables to meet all Corning Cable Systems standards and guidelines.
