Centurion deploys PBX-to-Skype gateway and saves 2100 pounds Sterling per month on calling costs
Since the installation of the VoSKY Exchange Pro VIT1/E1 Centurion has reported an 85% cut in the cost of their monthly telephone bills. Their bill has been reduced from 2500 pounds to 400 pounds, saving them a total of 2100 pounds per month.
With offices in the UK,
Centurion opted to connect the VoSKY-to-Skype Exchange to the E1 port on their Avaya IP Office 500 phone system to enable all employees to make, receive and transfer internet-based Skype calls in the same way as conventional phone calls.
"We bought the equipment through our existing Avaya Business Partner and VoSKY reseller AbbiTek who has provided us with a strong level of support during the installation, but as the gateway is literally plug and play it was easily integrated with our existing infrastructure - deployment really couldn't have been simpler."
Centurion found the VoSKY gateway easy to install and integrate with their existing phone system. There is no need to use headsets for Internet calls because all inbound and outbound Skype calls are routed through users' regular desktop telephone handsets.
The VoSKY Exchange Pro VIT1/E1 seamlessly integrates with existing corporate PBXs with T1 or E1 digital interfaces, allowing businesses to take advantage of Internet Telephony without replacing their existing network infrastructure. With a VoSKY Exchange gateway, employees can make and receive Skype calls from their regular office phone - no Skype software, computers, or headsets are required. The stand-alone, 1U rack-mountable appliance is easy for telecom/IT managers to configure and manage.
VoSKY's latest gateway can support up to 30 concurrent Skype calls using E1 ISDN PRI or up to 23 calls with T1 ISDN PRI, providing scalable performance for enterprise applications. With the VoSKY Exchange PBX-to-Skype gateways, businesses are able to deploy enhanced applications such as Voice VPN, Remote Access, Web Click-to-Call, Skype Trunking, Fixed Mobile Convergence and Global DID. These solutions help any size of business reduce costs and enhance communication within the company, as well as with customers and supply chain partners.
VoSKY's PBX agnostic application gateways bridge the gap between Skype and any analogue, digital or IP PBXes via FXO/FXS, T1/E1 or SIP interfaces. The gateways can be installed in under half a day, with zero changes to existing PBX phone systems - and at a modest one-time cost.
Group Centurion supplies a range of bespoke services specializing in international tax and investment advice, fund management and offshore corporate and trust management services to a range of SMEs worldwide.
