Tiny Personal Care Device from AnyDATA Wins First Place Product Innovation Award at CTIA

Personal care and tracking device wins first place for mobile accessory

IRVINE, Calif., April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- AnyDATA Corporation, a global leader in the design and manufacture of wireless communications devices, proudly announces the APT-210 personal care device has won first place as the most innovative mobile accessory at the 4th Annual CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards.

The award-winning APT-210 is a tiny personal care device that can be worn by an individual, kept in a pocket, or hidden in a car or other valuable assets. It uniquely can report its location in real-time whether indoors or outside. The LBS tracking solution provides personal freedom and safety for elderly adults, children, or pets who may tend to stray. It features an alert button triggered by the user that immediately notifies a monitoring service provider and the caretaker.

The CTIA Emerging Technology Awards had 300 product applications and were reviewed by a panel of 30 industry experts. Products were judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall "wow" factor. The APT-210 personal care device is supported by AnyDATA's LBS service, which includes a secure online tracking system, a call center platform, along with a downloadable application that runs on a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone or an iPhone. Users can also receive real-time SMS alerts based on excessive speeding, exiting a virtual geofence, or if the device wearer pushes the alert button. AnyDATA offers the complete device and tracking service on an OEM basis.
