WebSideStory Wins Network Computing's Editor's Choice Award for Best E-Commerce Analytics Service

Posted on: Thursday, 7 July 2005, 09:00 CDT

SAN DIEGO, July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WebSideStory(R) , a leading provider of on-demand digital marketing applications, today announced that its HBX(TM) analytics service has won Network Computing's prestigious Editor's Choice Award for best e-commerce analytics service. In the July 7th review of several major web analytics services, editors praise HBX as "the strongest all-around product." They underscored HBX's detailed merchandising and cross-sell reports, easy-to-use interface and powerful plug-in for Microsoft Excel, called HBX Report Builder. WebSideStory also earned top marks for customer support and professional services -- part of a general "culture of responsiveness" that reviewers found particularly appealing. Network Computing (http://www.networkcomputing.com/) is a CMP Media LLC property and one of the top technology magazines in the industry.

"Our Editor's Choice winner, WebSideStory's HBX On-Demand Web Analytics, provides the strongest all-around product, as well as excellent professional services," according to the review. "We were especially impressed with the comprehensive e-commerce reports, which let us drill down into specific products and cross-reference revenue information against campaigns, search engines, brands, regions and more."

"Those looking to integrate WebSideStory data with other applications will appreciate the powerful HBX Report Builder Excel plug-in and the provided APIs" for use with partner applications, the review states.

The Network Computing award is the second major award for the HBX service within the past four months and the third since August of last year. The other honors are:

* InfoWorld's top product score -- In March 2005, InfoWorld magazine gave WebSideStory its top product score in a head-to-head review of all major web analytics solutions. WebSideStory's HBX earned the only "excellent" rating. * PC Magazine's Editors' Choice Award -- In August 2004, HBX won PC Magazine's Editors' Choice award for best web analytics service. Editors called HBX "the best tool of its kind we've seen yet."

The HBX service is part of the WebSideStory Active Marketing Suite(TM), a collection of integrated on-demand digital marketing applications that include site search, keyword bid management and web content management.
