Verizon Wireless Retail Expansion Provides Job Opportunities for Long Islanders

Company Opens 15 New Stores within P.C. Richard & Son Showrooms; 9 in Suffolk, 6 in Nassau

ORANGEBURG, N.Y., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless is hiring to fill immediate openings in its new retail stores within P.C. Richard & Son locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties. In addition to creating 25 jobs for local residents, the company's new relationship with P.C. Richard & Son, announced last month, gives customers easy access to the latest wireless phones, devices and accessories, plus a variety of service plans on the nation's most reliable wireless network.

The company's retail expansion and hiring is in response to the growing demand for the Verizon Wireless' voice and data products and services, including popular devices like the BlackBerry(R) Storm(TM) and new service features such as Verizon Wireless Friends & Family(R) which lets customers on eligible calling plans enjoy unlimited calling to up to 10 numbers on any network, anytime, anywhere in America without using plan minutes.
