Signiant(R), Inc., the leading developer of content distribution management solutions, today announced the Signiant Integration Product Program (SIPP), which is dedicated to providing additional services, functionality and resources to Signiant customers. SIPP makes it easy and cost-effective for customers to add the latest technology components to the open architecture of Signiant's Content Distribution Management (CDM) software in a safe and anxiety-free environment. Signiant provides an open platform for technology partners while at the same time creating a rigorous qualification process to protect customers.
Applications available through SIPP include technologies from companies such as Avid, Anystream, Thomson, SmartJog, Interra Systems, STRATACACHE, Masstech, Rhozet, Open Text and EMC Atmos. These applications - some added by technology partners and others by Signiant - are being called "Connectors." Connectors include:
- Watermarking systems - Media management solutions - Transcoders - Quality control applicationsThese Connectors and many more can be quickly be integrated into Signiant's CDM software. Customers now have the ability to use Connectors to make their Signiant CDM experience even more beneficial and to create a customized CDM approach to better accomplish their business objectives.
Customers can view all of the available Connectors at Signiant's SIPP website.
"I'm excited to see the initiative that Signiant has taken with the
launch of SIPP," said
"This is an enormous benefit to Signiant customers as we already have so
many leading technology companies creating Connectors for the Signiant
platform," said
Signiant has built SIPP to maximize the benefits for customers and partners. When a developer wants to add an application to SIPP, they receive the Signiant SDK and APIs to build their Connector. The developer submits the Connector to Signiant for rigorous compliance checks and qualification. Once qualified, the developer can sell the Connector, bundle it with its own products or give it away as it sees fit. All Connectors will be listed on Signiant's website with a solutions document and a video on how to use them. There will also be a link to the developer's website for additional information.
A key feature of the Connectors' versatility and flexibility is that, thanks to Signiant's CDM open architecture, any Connector can be installed at any point in a customer's workflow - something that is much more difficult in other, more rigidly structured systems.
"There are companies out there that will charge you hundreds of thousands of dollars over a number of months to study your business processes, find out what you need to do and what products you have, then bolt together a solution," said Clarkson. "The Signiant approach is to solve our customers' pain points much more quickly and cost-effectively."
