Platform Computing Appoints Randy Clark As Chief Marketing Officer

Record Performance Drives Corporate Investment in New Markets

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Platform Computing, the leader in grid and cloud computing software, announces the appointment of Randy Clark as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Mr. Clark will be responsible for Platform's worldwide marketing and will also be focusing on the company's cloud computing initiative. He will be reporting to Platform's CEO Songnian Zhou.

Mr. Clark brings to Platform more than 20 years of proven experience in leading marketing and business development for both early stage and large public enterprise software companies. Most recently, he was VP of Marketing at Symyx, a public software and systems company focused on the chemicals and life-sciences industries. Previously, he was SVP Market Development for PTC, a leading public company focused on product lifecycle management. Mr. Clark has also been an early management team member for two venture-backed software companies, Enigma and ClearForest. His career began in consulting with Arthur D. Little and in venture capital with Advent International before he moved to the operating side doing vertical marketing with Bay Networks. Mr. Clark graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and holds an MBA from Harvard University.
