CHICAGO, July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jabra, a leading brand of hands-free communication products for the mobile consumer market, and U.S. Cellular today announced its partnership which will bring Jabra's best-selling Bluetooth and corded headsets to U.S. Cellular retail locations nationwide.
U.S. Cellular retail stores will carry the latest evolution of the world's best-selling Bluetooth headset, the Jabra BT250v, as well as the widely popular corded headset, the Jabra C250. These headsets offer consumers the flexibility to select a product that best fits their lifestyle, while providing a comfortable and stylish, hands-free option for their mobile phones.
"Our partnership with U.S. Cellular will allow us to bring our best- selling mobile communication products to more customers, offering them a choice of wearing styles, quality and comfort," said David Hogan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Jabra. "There is a growing demand for our product and it's important to us that it's widely available in all regions -- especially here in our backyard, for those who will be impacted by Chicago legislation requiring hands-free mobile phone use while driving."
"U.S. Cellular is committed to providing our customers quality products and services," said Jim Anetsberger, director of device management and logistics at U.S. Cellular. "The addition of the Jabra headsets to our line of wireless products provides our customers an even greater selection of hands-free devices."
Designed for simple, all day hands-free use, the Jabra BT250v is a Bluetooth headset with the behind-the-ear wearing style. The headset offers a call alert feature that silently vibrates to inform users that they are receiving an incoming call. The BT250v delivers up to seven (7) hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time and gives customers the freedom to use their mobile phone up to 30 feet away. Its soft elastomer body weighs only 3/4 oz. and its sound-absorbing material reduces distortions resulting in crisp sound quality.
The Jabra C250 is a stylish, lightweight corded headset featuring a contoured earpiece that fits discreetly behind either ear for a comfortable and secure fit. A built-in boom microphone provides optimal voice clarity and blocks out background noise, making the Jabra C250 suitable for anyone who wants to enjoy the basic benefits of hands-free communication.
Pricing and availability
The Jabra BT250v and Jabra C250 will be available at U.S. Cellular retail stores nationwide beginning July 2005. Suggested retail price for the Jabra BT250v is $99.95 and the Jabra C250 will be priced at $29.95.
