Dialogic Expands Research and Development Unit, Hires Dr. Jeffrey Bloom as Director, Video Technologies

PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 4 /PRNewswire/ — Dialogic Corporation (“Dialogic”), a global provider of world-class products and technologies for media and signal processing, today announced that Dr.
Jeffrey Bloom has joined the Dialogic Media Labs team as Director, Video Technologies. In this newly created role, Dr. Bloom will be responsible for leading the development of advanced “intelligent video” software, including features related to image analysis, quality measurement and security applications. Bloom will also be instrumental in setting the technical direction for the organization by creating strategic plans related to the development of Dialogic’s video products.
Dr. Bloom has extensive and detailed knowledge of the video industry and a wealth of experience managing R&D teams. He is well known for his expertise in the field of content security and is one of the authors of the primary textbook in digital watermarking. Additionally, Dr. Bloom is a named inventor on six issued patents and over 20 pending patents. He earned BS and MS degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
