Posted on: Tuesday, 5 May 2009, 09:00 CDT

MORRISVILLE, N.C., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Syncfusion, Inc., a leading provider of Windows Forms, ASP.NET, WPF, Back Office, and Silverlight components, announces its latest release: Essential Studio 2009 Volume 2, which includes a new suite of Business Intelligence and ASP.NET MVC components.

Stefan Hoenig, CEO of Syncfusion, says, "Our suite of ASP.NET MVC components is one of the first ASP.NET MVC Studios. This truly enables developers to harness the power and flexibility of Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC Framework. We not only wrote those components from scratch, we rewrote our own Web site using this new platform. We look forward to innovating alongside our customers."

Essential Studio 2009 Volume 2 is the sixth major version of Syncfusion Essential Studio to support Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. It includes major updates to each of the suites--WPF, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, BackOffice, and Silverlight Editions.

The all-new Essential Studio ASP.NET MVC Edition, currently in beta, includes Grid, Editors, Chart, Accordion, and much more. These ASP.NET MVC controls were written from scratch and have no WebForms legacy code.

Syncfusion's Essential Studio Business Intelligence Edition ships as part of the Volume 2 release and includes OLAP-aware Grid, Chart, and Gauge controls. This suite of components enables developers to easily build WPF and ASP.NET Business Intelligence applications and interactively build reports with the Report Designer.

This WebForms, AJAX-enabled suite includes enhancements to the XHTML-compliant mode for the Grid Server control as well as enhancements to the client-side object model for several controls. In addition, it includes server control wrappers for jQueryUI widgets such as Dialog, Accordion, Tab, Slider, and DatePicker.

The WPF Edition features improved data binding support with the WPF Grid control and improved performance and built-in Toolbar support for the Chart control. This release greatly enhances the Gauge, Diagram, and Edit components.

The Windows Form Edition features several enhancements: Essential Grid has enhanced filter support; Essential Tools controls now include support for several additional themes; and Essential Chart has better support for zooming and panning.

Essential Studio Silverlight Edition has all new features such as the Microsoft Office-like ribbon control, Microsoft Outlook-like GroupBar control, date-time picker, and a calendar editor. In addition, a new product, Essential Chart for Silverlight, ships as a beta release as part of this suite.

The BackOffice suite of components includes numerous enhancements. DocIO now has built-in support for Word to PDF conversion. XlsIO adds support for the creation of Excel pivot tables and Essential PDF adds vastly enhanced forms support.
