Initially announced on May 26, 2005, Secure Global Desktop EE4 includes the following enhancements:
* Seamless windows for Windows applications. Building on the existing support for seamless client-side integration of remote application windows for UNIX and Linux applications, EE 4.1 offers seamless windows mode for Windows applications. Seamless windows provide a more natural user experience when using server-based applications. * Smart card support. Users can now utilize smart card devices on their client machines to authenticate to Windows servers and to provide authentication for server-based applications such as Microsoft Outlook. * Improved SSL performance. Enterprise Edition 4.1 utilizes multiple SSL processes to improve scalability, especially on multi-processor servers. * Enhanced password handling.
