Concurrent Technologies Corporation Receives Technology Product of the Year Award from TECHQuest Pennsylvania

JOHNSTOWN, Pa., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) recently received the Technology Product of the Year Award from TECHQuest Pennsylvania. Companies were nominated for the honor based on their development of new products that demonstrate use of ground-breaking innovation and technology. TECHQuest PA's 17th Annual Technology Gala was held on March 27, 2009, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The largest event of its type in Pennsylvania for technology companies and industry professionals, the Gala showcases the technology industry's creativity and contributions.

CTC's Real-time Avatars and Environments Learning technology, referred to as REAL technology, claimed the top prize. In 2008 CTC successfully developed and released two new 3D interactive technology products for the U.S. Department of Defense and PA Department of Corrections. Using ground-breaking simulation game technology, the products have broad appeal and represent the future of computer-based training rooted in behavioral science. REAL technology immerses the trainee into real-life situations. After the training, the REAL technology permits immediate review between trainer and trainee to improve all aspects of the training, including much longer retention of skills learned and reinforced.
