Radware Integrated Solutions Help the East China University of Science and Technology Enhance Its Digital Campus

BEIJING, May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, announced today that the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) has successfully deployed Radware's integrated application delivery and network security solutions which combine - AppDirector, LinkProof and DefensePro to optimize the campus' network.

ECUST is a leading University with 3 campuses covering more than 1.639 million square meters, serving more than 23,000 full-time and 22,700 part-time students enrolled in the College of Continuing Education and the College of Distance Education. ECUST is also the head of information cooperation networks among Academics of Chemical Technology around China, the Workstation of Scientific Program Consultation and Innovation Investigation Center of the Education Ministry.

With continuous growth in the number of teachers, students and visitors, ECUST has been facing tremendous pressure to handle an unprecedented volume of network access. The University had an urgent need to upgrade its network, to optimize the utilization of multiple Internet links and ensure a fast response-rate without affecting the operation and stability of existing intranet, extranet, Internet and wireless local area networks (LAN). At the same time, the University also needed an effective protection mechanism against DoS/DDoS attacks to ensure high availability, performance and security network access.

To address these challenges, in addition to the investment made in a fiber-optic network, ECUST turned to Radware and deployed a multi-set of LinkProof 3020, LinkProof 3000, AppDirector 3020 and DefensePro.
