RESTON, Va., May 21 /PRNewswire/ — High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTi), a technology solutions company for the U.S. government, has been named a finalist for 13 categories in the American Business Awards. This is the third consecutive year that the mid-sized company has had 100% of its nominees accepted as finalists for the national awards. The American Business Awards, nicknamed the Stevies, are the only national, all-encompassing awards honoring great performances in business. This year, HPTi is a finalist for Best Overall Company and Best Community Service Committee. HPTi employees are up for Best Human Resources Executive, Best Technical Professional, Best Finance Executive, Best Corporate Communicator, Best Support Staffer, Best IT Executive, Best Product Developer, Best Marketer, and Best Customer Service Executive.

More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Members of the Awards Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners from among the finalists in final judging that will continue through June 3. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April through early May.

“I am delighted that so many HPTi employees were named as finalists,” commented HPTi President Tim Keenan. “I am so proud when people outside of HPTi get to see the amazing contributions our people are making. The skill and talent of these nominees illustrates why a company of our size has the ability to successfully compete with multi-billion dollar corporations.”

“Despite very tough economic conditions, many organizations and individuals continue to perform well,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “The results of the 2009 ABAs thus far are a testament to the resilience, creativity, and hard work of American organizations, executives, and workers.”

HPTi has won Best Executive, Best Support Staffer, and Best Technical Professional in past years. The firm will find out the results of this year’s voting at the awards gala on June 22nd in New York City.
