Qtask Selected as Red Herring Top 100 North America Award Winner

BURBANK, Calif., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Qtask, the secure, SaaS-based collaboration and project management tool that makes it easier to 'get things done' from one unified place, is proud to announce that it has been named a 2009 Red Herring Top 100 North America Award Winner.

Held at San Diego, California's historic U.S. Grant Hotel from May 11-13, an audience of 350 industry visionaries, executives and investors gathered with the editorial staff of Red Herring to discuss the current state of technology and consider the most promising private tech companies in the U.S.

200 Finalists for the Red Herring Top 100 were selected from more than 2,000 entries and then invited to present their product and company vision. In addition to Qtask, this year's finalists included web video 'personal remote' service ffwd; Outspark virtual playground; MixMatchMusic online community for music collaboration and creation; and Mob4Hire crowd sourced mobile application and usability testing.

Following two and a half days of presentations, keynote speakers and roundtable discussions, the Top 100 North American companies were selected from the 200 Finalists. Previous winners of this prestigious award include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, SalesForce.com and YouTube.
