Plan to Increase Computer Program Exports to African Countries

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported on the plan of local computer program companies to increase their exports to countries on the African continent. The paper quoted President of the Computer Program Companies Association, Sayd Isma'il, who said in early May 2005 that the goal of this plan is to increase computer program and computer equipment exports to $450 million during 2006 and to $800 million in 2007
. The plan includes setting up a work team to examine market demand and requirements for the African market in connection with computer programs and equipment in the fields of health, industry, tourism, and education.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
