Netli Delivers Content Delivery Service, Creating the First One-Stop Shop for Both Application Acceleration and Static Content Offload

Netli(R), the global leader in Application Delivery Network (ADN) services, today announced the immediate availability of NetliOffload(TM), Netli's static content and file offload service. First announced in the Fall of 2004 as part of Netli's technology roadmap for 2005, the NetliOffload service combines with Netli's industry-leading NetLightning(R) service to create a complete one-stop solution for enterprise-class application acceleration and content caching and offload. Organizations are now scaling their eBusiness with no added infrastructure, complexity or cost as Netli is offering NetliOffload as a free service to NetLightning customers.

With NetliOffload, static content (such as images, customer support files, software upgrades, design documents, and digital media) that is repeatedly requested is automatically identified and cached. This approach is completely transparent and means that no changes to the site or application are needed. Additional storage capacity is available for enterprises that want Netli to host their content and place the frequently requested objects directly into cache. Either approach enables the enterprise to ramp their capacity on demand and eliminates the costs associated with building the IT infrastructure needed to ensure fast response times at multiple locations around the world.

When end users request a static object that is either in cache or in a Netli Offload facility, they are intelligently directed to the appropriate Netli Virtual Data Center (VDC), where Netli's patented acceleration technology speeds the delivery of the file using its advanced network and application layer optimization techniques. This approach enables Netli to provide LAN-like response times to end users around the world via a very efficient network infrastructure. Customers are able to manage the service configuration, logs, and reporting, through a single management console.
