SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Everypath, Inc., a leading provider of mobile solutions for the enterprise, today announced two partnerships aimed at delivering complete solutions that span the lifecycle from device procurement, to solution deployment, to end-user field support for the largest global enterprises.
The company has reached an agreement with Asurion, the leading provider of equipment management and protection programs to the wireless industry, which will provide its customers complete management of the mobile devices on which Everypath solutions are deployed.
Another agreement with Indianapolis-based Bell Industries' Tech.logix Group will provide technical support for end-users in the field. Together, the partnerships provide Everypath's customers with unprecedented lifecycle support for mobilized sales and field service applications.
Asurion Managed Wireless will oversee the procurement and management of mobile devices used by Everypath customers. Asurion will provide Everypath's customers with single-point-of-contact procurement across all major wireless carriers, equipment purchase and rental options and logistics and support services including guaranteed overnight replacement throughout the device lifecycle. Asurion will also manage device upgrades as new technology becomes available.
"Everypath's solutions exemplify how mobile devices are increasingly being designed to handle more complex tasks and major business operations," said Bzur Haun, vice president of Asurion Managed Wireless. "As the leading provider of managed wireless programs to enterprises nationwide, we are excited by the opportunity to reduce deployment costs and complexity for Everypath's customers."
Bell Industries' Tech.logix Group will partner with Everypath to provide 24x7, customized support for each customer's specific hardware and software configuration and will provide direct, toll-free phone support, as well as web portal and email assistance for sales representatives and field technicians using Everypath solutions away from the office. Everypath's deployments work with a variety of legacy CRM and ERP applications. They are device independent and offer the flexibility to customize GUIs. Moreover, they span a wide array of industries, including pharmaceutical, medical device, industrial manufacturing, retail and financial services. Bell Industries' Tech.logix Group will be familiar with the whole array of Everypath implementations and will ensure that end-user requests are resolved quickly and efficiently.
"Mobile enterprise applications and devices represent an emerging growth area in which we are experienced and well positioned to provide ongoing quality support," said Russ Doll, president of Bell Industries' Tech.logix Group. "Everypath's diverse customer base and advanced product offering make the company an ideal partner for our comprehensive mobile lifecycle support services."
According to Gartner, there will be more than 31 million mobile workers by the year 2007. As the tools mobile workers use get more sophisticated, their responsibilities will increase in number and in scope. Everypath's mobile solutions empower sales representatives and field employees to do their jobs efficiently, while decreasing the amount of administrative work they face when returning to their homes and offices.
"Our customers are asking for solutions that address all of the business and technical needs of mobilized applications," said Mark Tapling, president and CEO of Everypath. "Everypath is focused on making mobility simple for the largest, global enterprises. This means bringing together the optimal device, software, service, training and support business models."
