In addition, the Ziggs Index has grown to include profiles of professionals from over 90,000 companies, up from 16,000 in October 2004. The first new networking service, Ziggs Announcement Service, enables customers to quickly and easily share their online profile with others via email for networking or job hunting. A customer can now choose among five sample emails designed to introduce his or her online profile for the purpose of sharing it with a contact base, updating a contact base about a job change, or networking with a contact base when searching for a new job. Tracking reports monitor the number of email recipients who have clicked through the Announcement email to review his or her online profile.
The second new networking service, Ziggs ZAlerts, is a new email notification tool that allows customers to network with professionals that share a common interest. Customers can automatically receive an email alert when a profile is listed in Ziggs that shares an interest specified by the customer. For example, ZAlerts can be set for a customer’s alma mater, past employers, hobbies, favorite sports or hometown. Customers can create and monitor up to ten ZAlerts, using ten different keywords, and receive ZAlerts daily, weekly or monthly. As ZAlerts discovers profiles in Ziggs that share customer interests, customers can then easily network with these newly listed professionals.
Combined, these new services allow customers to spark new business with networking contacts, refresh connections with colleagues and update family or friends with ease.
