Cisco Announces Network Admission Control Security Solution for the Mid-Market

Cisco Systems(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), today announced the availability of Cisco Clean Access Commercial, a comprehensive security policy enforcement and remediation solution specifically designed for businesses with 250-750 users.
Cisco Clean Access Commercial represents one of the industry's first and most comprehensive Network Admission Control (NAC) solutions for the medium-sized market that is designed to automatically detect, isolate and clean infected or vulnerable wired and wireless devices that attempt to access a network.
Cisco Clean Access Commercial is an extension of the Cisco Clean Access family of NAC appliances including Cisco Clean Access Enterprise. The advanced and integrated suite of network security tools recognizes users, devices and their role in the network. This recognition occurs at the point of authentication, before malicious activity can cause any network damage. Cisco Clean Access solutions also evaluate if machines are compliant with security policies and enforce security policies by blocking, isolating and repairing non-compliant machines. Non-compliant wired or wireless machines are redirected into a quarantine area where remediation occurs.

The Cisco Clean Access product line broadens customers NAC technology deployment options. Customers can choose to deploy NAC functionality either through the NAC industry-collaborative framework or through the Cisco Clean Access product family. The Cisco Clean Access product family supports a wide variety of Cisco products, including posture assessment and remediation support for Cisco's switching, routing and wireless solutions.
