Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type 1 Audit

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. (PSP, Inc.), a Web hosting and Internet solutions company today announced its successful completion of a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type 1 Audit of its processes and controls. The audit was performed by an independent auditing firm. The successful completion of this audit demonstrates PSP, Inc's commitment to developing and implementing controls and processes that ensure customer data is secure based on specific standards. The scope of the audit included PSP, Inc's server monitoring and security and support service practices.

The SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The SAS 70 certifies that a service company has had their control objectives and processes examined by an independent accounting and auditing firm. To complete the SAS 70 Type 1 audit, the PSP, Inc. management team developed objectives for internal controls that support the standards of monitoring and security of operations and customers' information.
