Headsprout Early Reading Program(TM) Purchased With Stimulus Funds by Boone County School District for use Over the Next 5 Years

Early Reading Program Will Enhance Grade-Level Reading Skills For Over 3,000 Kindergarten and 1st Graders In All 12 District Elementary Schools beginning September, 2009

FLORENCE, Ky., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Headsprout Early Reading(TM), a leading scientifically-developed online reading program that enhances basic reading skills, today announces that the Boone County School District has approved the Headsprout Early Reading program for all of the 3,000+ Kindergarten & First Graders, in all 12 elementary schools, for the next five years beginning in the 2009-2010 school year. Using IDEA and ARRA stimulus funding, the Boone County school district purchased a five year site license that will target Kindergarten and 1st grade beginning or non-readers to bring them up to a mid-2nd grade reading level and also provide a powerful Response to Intervention (RTI) solution for all struggling students.
