AMBER Ready Foundation to Donate In-Car Printers to Help Law Enforcement Find Missing Children in Broward County
Posted on: Wednesday, 24 June 2009, 16:01 CDT
The printers will be installed in patrol cars to allow law enforcement officials to quickly print posters of a missing child or a wanted fugitive. AMBER Ready is donating printers to local law enforcement as they travel across the country hosting events to educate parents and caregivers on how to protect their families and safeguard their children in the Internet age and about a new technology called the AMBER Ready Program.
The AMBER Ready Program allows parents to store and lock their children's vital information and photograph in their wireless phone. In the event a child should ever go missing, law enforcement can utilize the AMBER Ready Program through their parent's wireless phone to transmit the child's information and photo to other agencies and local patrol vehicles and issue a missing child alert.

Additional Information
Up to 1.3 million children are reported missing each year. When a violent crime is tied to an abduction, 99% of violent crimes occur within the first four hours that the child is missing. This is a serious problem and the AMBER Ready Program drastically reduces the time needed to activate an AMBER Alert, greatly increasing the chances of a successful recovery of the child.
AMBER Ready is in Ft. Lauderdale to participate in the National PTA Convention where PTA members will be able to enroll their children in the AMBER Ready Program. AMBER Ready will also have a booth and address attendees at the PTA Family Expo scheduled to take place on
About AMBER Ready, Inc.
AMBER Ready, Inc. has pioneered the nation's first wireless program enabling parents to securely store their child's identity information within their wireless phone and providing the technology platform for police to disseminate an alert from a parents' wireless phone immediately upon a child being abducted or found to be missing. Through the wireless transmission of stored photographs and descriptive data by police as a Be-On-the-Look-Out (BOLO) or as an official AMBER Alert, the AMBER Ready Program is expected to dramatically reduce the average time between determining a child is missing and the commencement of a meaningful search by local law enforcement, thus significantly improving the odds for rapid recovery. In anticipation of pursuing a public listing in the future, the Company has engaged the firm of John Thomas Financial as its investment-banking firm.
