HPTi Wins Best Overall Company of the Year at American Business Awards

Posted on: Tuesday, 30 June 2009, 10:51 CDT

RESTON, Va., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- High Performance Technologies, Inc., (HPTi) was named "Best Overall Company" at the 7th Annual American Business Awards, also known as the "Stevies." HPTi's recognition comes on the heels of its winning the prestigious National Capital Business Ethics Award and the Medallion of Performance Excellence from Virginia's U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award program.

Joining the company in the Stevies winners' circle was Rebecca Jimenez -- HPTi's 2008 Employee of the Year -- who was named the Best Technical Professional in the country. Ms. Jimenez specializes in program protection planning for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, and her insights have had a direct impact on multi-billion dollar programs at the Department of Defense.

"Rebecca is the benchmark by which HPTi recruits new college hires," stated Peter Lierni, Ms. Jimenez's manager.

"Despite the economy faltering," HPTi's President Timothy Keenan added, "we've continued to enjoy strong revenue growth. That growth and our recognition at the Stevies stem from the extraordinary contributions of our employees. Rebecca exemplifies the talent and dedication of HPTi's workforce."

This is the third consecutive year that HPTi's Employee of the Year has won a Stevie, and the second consecutive year that an HPTi employee has won the Stevie for Best Technical Professional.

HPTi was also a finalist for Best Community Service Committee, and nearly a dozen HPTi employees were finalists in categories such as Best Corporate Communicator, Best Customer Service Executive, Best Finance Executive, and Best Human Resources Executive.

Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" (New York Post , April 27, 2005), the American Business Awards is the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performance in business.
