Heraeus to Showcase Its 3rd Generation Front Side Silver Paste for Silicon PV Cells at Intersolar North America

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., July 1 /PRNewswire/ — The Photovoltaic Business Unit of Heraeus — a leading global precious metals management and materials supplier — will spotlight its 3rd generation front side silver paste (SOL 953) for silicon solar cells at this year’s Intersolar North America Exhibition and Conference. The event will be held in the Moscone Convention Center, West Hall, July 14-16, 2009. Heraeus will occupy booth #8562.

The SOL953 paste is cadmium-free and specifically designed for high sheet resistance emitter applications, providing excellent aspect ratio and fine line resolution for advanced cell designs.

SOL953 and all of the Heraeus SOL Series of silver pastes are specially formulated to provide better yields and higher output for cell manufacturers. The specially designed front side pastes offer higher efficiency and the lead-free backside bus bar silver pastes offer industry-leading adhesion and coverage.

Heraeus supports these products with three strategically-located tech service labs (Hanau, Germany, Shanghai, China and West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania) to provide expanded global service and production support for PV manufacturers.
