Sprint is committed to leading the industry in wireless data services. Wireless data revenue grew 14 percent for Sprint in the first quarter 2005 and represented approximately 10 percent of customer service revenue. Broader availability of Sprint PCS Business Connection is another initiative demonstrating Sprint's commitment to enabling mobility solutions that can foster the adoption of wireless services.

"Having secure, real-time access to corporate email, contacts and other information is key to helping companies boost productivity, lower operating costs and increase customer satisfaction," said Tim Donahue, vice president - Enterprise Marketing, Sprint Business Solutions. "By extending Sprint PCS Business Connection to JAVA-enabled devices, we are giving our business customers more options for choosing a remote-access solution that is best suited for its mobile workforce."

Sprint Business Connection provides real-time access to Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, POP and IMAP information -- including email messages and attachments, calendars, business directories and personal contacts, desktop documents, and personal email from Internet email accounts including Sprint PCS Mail, Yahoo!, Earthlink and others. Sprint Business Connection utilizes end-to-end 128-bit AES encryption to ensure corporate data is secure and leverages a real-time architecture to ensure corporate data is never replicated to third-party servers outside the firewall.

"As more and more businesses and consumers realize the value of mobile email, lowering the total cost of ownership and providing a wider choice of devices is increasingly important," said Kent Thexton, SEVEN president and CEO. "This latest expansion of Sprint PCS Business Connection to a wider range of mobile phones paves the way for the wider usage of mobile email."

Sprint Business Connection enables individual consumers and organizations of all sizes to realize the benefits of mobile email and stay competitive. Sprint Business Connection is available in two deployment models:

-- Sprint Business Connection Personal Edition: An easy-to-use, self-provisioned mobile email service. Designed for individual consumers. -- Sprint Business Connection Enterprise Edition: An IT-managed mobile email service, designed for businesses. The service may be deployed as either a behind-the-firewall server solution or a hosted network solution.

The core components of Sprint PCS Business Connection were developed and enhanced by SEVEN, a global wireless software company based in Redwood City, Calif.
