Two Email Marketing Executives From ExactTarget Named to BtoB Magazine's ''Who's Who in B-To-B''

ExactTarget, a leading developer of on-demand outbound email software solutions with more than 3,500 customers, today announced that its co-founder, Chris Baggott, and its vice president of deliverability, Chip House, were both named to BtoB Magazine's "Who's Who in B-To-B," an annual list of 100 people who are making a difference in b-to-b marketing. This marks the second consecutive year that Baggott was named to the list.
According to the publication, the executives who achieve the "Who's Who" list are "the ones who help establish the best practices in business marketing for their respective industries." BtoB generates nominations from readers, corporations, industry experts and its editorial staff.
In naming Mr. Baggott, BtoB noted ExactTarget's ease of use and highest deliverability rate (98 percent) among email service providers.
"At ExactTarget we have worked hard to promote a raised-bar vision for on-demand outbound email solutions that includes strong permission rules, maximized deliverability, true one-to-one personalization, and campaign optimization," said Mr. Baggott. "I am honored to be included in BtoB's "Who's Who" list and am gratified to see our best practices recognized."
Mr. Baggott is best described as the "visionary" behind ExactTarget software products and works closely with ExactTarget customers to advise them on ways to ensure their success by enhancing deliverability, using dynamic content to create more personal and relevant email, optimizing email for better outcomes and being legally compliant to anti-spam laws. Mr. Baggott also is a recognized speaker on database and email marketing, with a speaking docket that includes over 50 appearances in 2005, including national conferences, tradeshows and regional business and marketing organizations. In addition to his recognition from BtoB, Mr. Baggott was also chosen as the "Best Online Marketing Blogger" by Marketing Sherpa, a marketing trade publication. He has been featured in Inc. Magazine.
Mr. House was recognized by BtoB as a vocal proponent of legitimate commercial email and an active lobbyist regarding spam and privacy issues. He recently filed comments with the FTC opposing changes to the CAN-SPAM Act that would shorten the opt-out period from ten to three days. Mr. House suggested that shortening the period would only create complicated compliance issues for legitimate email marketers with distributed systems while not impacting or curbing the efforts of spammers.
At ExactTarget, Mr. House is in charge of all aspects relating to client and consumer data privacy, as well as ensuring high rates of deliverability for clients by meeting ISP white list criteria. He is also responsible for ISP relationship development and is a key member in industry associations and alliances. Mr. House has an extensive background in both direct and internet marketing.
