WILSONVILLE, Ore., July 16 /PRNewswire/ — This summer, there’s no need to trek to Wuhu Island for a sneak peek of the new Wii Sports Resort. Instead, consumers can go straight to their local Game Crazy , the only place where they can play the Wii Sports sequel before it goes on sale. The national video game retailer is hosting in- store events nationwide on Saturday, July 25(th) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., where “resort guests” will be the first to try out this highly anticipated game. In addition, all attendees will receive a text-in code and two lucky resort revelers will win $1,500 toward a real-life resort vacation — no purchase necessary.

“Wii Sports is a gaming phenomenon, and a sequel seemed hard to imagine. However, Nintendo has done it again with another masterpiece,” said Cliff Torng, Game Crazy Chief Marketing Officer. “Wii Sports Resort introduces an unprecedented experience in physical reality using the new Wii MotionPlus accessory, which provides players with the most realistic and immersive experience possible. Game Crazy is thrilled to give our customers the chance to play Wii Sports Resort before it goes on sale — we’re thankful that Nintendo is helping us offer this exclusive opportunity.”

Resort Activities

In addition to taking up residence at the Wii Sports Resort, and getting helpful tips and tricks from Game Crazy experts, shoppers will also benefit from several special deals. On launch date, July 26, a 20 percent trade boost will be offered, giving consumers additional credit on trading in their older games that can be used toward the purchase of Wii Sports Resort. Game Crazy will offer additional specials all day including the chance to win one of two $1,500 American Express gift cards that can be used for a resort getaway of the customer’s choice.
