US-Based CommuniGate Systems Appoints New British VP of Marketing

MILL VALLEY, California, July 16 /PRNewswire/ — CommuniGate Systems, the
leader in carrier-class Mobile Unified Communications, has appointed Scott
Stonham
as the company’s new Vice President of Marketing, as part of the
company’s strategy to expand its international business activities. Stonham,
who is British, is based out of London and joins CommuniGate Systems to take
overall responsibility for marketing. He will focus on developing CommuniGate
Systems’ offering for mobile markets and clear value propositions for mobile
operators. Stonham will be responsible for global marketing but with special
interest in developing the UK, Europe, Middle-East and Africa regions.

Stonham brings over 13 years of mobile telecoms experience to the
CommuniGate Systems team. Prior to joining CommuniGate Systems, Stonham
served as VP of Product Marketing at Miyowa, a provider of
advertising-enabled mobile instant messaging and social networking solutions.
During this time, Stonham drove the product and company positioning to
achieve worldwide industry leadership status, helping Miyowa to achieve
impressive growth across all aspects of the business in EMEA, USA and Asia
regions.

Stonham’s experience also includes key roles at industry leaders such as
Vodafone UK & Group, Qualcomm and Openwave. During his time at these
companies, Stonham has brought numerous cutting edge technologies to the
mobile marketplace, including Mobile Instant Messaging, Social Media and
Social Networking, Location Based Services, Assisted GPS and Mobile
Advertising.
