TriCipher Demonstrates 'Instant-on' Password Attack Protection for Gmail, Salesforce, PivotLink and Others at Burton Group Catalyst Conference

Posted on: Tuesday, 21 July 2009, 09:00 CDT

LOS GATOS, Calif., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- TriCipher, Inc., provider of on-demand identity services, will demonstrate how its myOneLogin solution interoperates with leading Web applications, identity providers and federation protocols at the Cloud SSO Interoperability demonstration hosted by Burton Group on July 29th.

The demonstration will showcase how TriCipher's myOneLogin enhances standards-based federation with flexible multi-factor authentication while adding an essential layer of security to the single sign-on experience.

"The rapid adoption of SaaS applications means that Web single sign-on is becoming a business necessity," said Gerry Gebel, VP & Service Director at Burton Group. "This Interoperability demonstration will illustrate that the federation standards are mature, available from many providers, and are being adopted by the SaaS application community."

myOneLogin is a Web-based single sign-on service that connects users instantly to thousands of Web applications, without requiring on-premise hardware, software or consulting. The solution combines multi-protocol federation with strong authentication and automated provisioning capabilities and can function both as an identity provider (IDP) in federation relationships or as a relying party to other identity providers. During the Burton Group Interoperability exhibition, TriCipher will demonstrate how its myOneLogin solution can provide:

  • Federated single sign-on to participating Web-based applications, including Google Apps, Salesforce.com, WebEx, PivotLink, Exostar, eXpresso, and the Burton Group
  • Federated integration with other identity providers, including Sun OpenSSO Enterprise, CA Federation Manager, Novell Access Manager and Google
  • Support for multiple identity federation protocols, including SAML and WS-Federation
  • Auto provisioning between partners using federation assertions
  • Flexible, tokenless multi-factor authentication

"Deploying Web single sign-on without the protection of multi-factor authentication is like driving a car without a seatbelt. It's a scenario that ultimately results in a phishing attack or a blatant misuse of accounts, which businesses cannot afford," said John De Santis, chairman and CEO at TriCipher. "We know that this Burton Group demonstration will convince businesses and Web application providers alike to insist on federation and strong authentication for online identity. The standards are available, the technology is ready, and the time has come to do online identity the right way."

The Burton Group Catalyst Conference takes place July 27-31 in San Diego California. The Interoperability demonstration will profile single sign-on for cloud-based applications, and will take place Wednesday evening, July 29th. For more details, visit http://www.catalyst.burtongroup.com/NA09/.
