Stratus Technologies' Avance Software Wins Second Straight XChange Solution Provider XCellence Award

MAYNARD, Mass., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Just three months after winning an XChange XCellence Innovative Technology Solution award, Stratus(R) Technologies' Avance(TM) software won the award for a second consecutive time by tying IBM in a poll of event attendees. Avance won in the same category during the March XChange event.

Sponsored by Everything Channel Events, the XChange XCellence Awards measure overall business and technology integrator perceptions of vendor products and services during the Everything Channel Government Integrator event in Washington, D.C. XChange attendees evaluated and scored each vendor's presentation, message and presence throughout the event, and awards were handed out during the XChange XCellence Awards Presentation.

Innovative Technology Solutions were judged by the following criteria:

• new or enhanced product (introduced to the channel in the past six months);
• product can create new revenue streams/business opportunities;
• the product is something the attendee would want to represent;
• product contributes to solving real business technology needs; and
• strong market opportunity for this product.
