Panda Security Announces New Releases of Network Perimeter Protection Appliances for SMBs

GLENDALE, Calif., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Panda Security, the Cloud Security Company, today announced the availability of its 2010 line of unified threat management (UTM) appliances, Panda GateDefender Integra, and Panda GateDefender Performa. Both products offer proactive perimeter security that requires little to no maintenence from small- and medium-size businesses (SMBs).

Panda GateDefender Integra and GateDefender Performa benefit from Panda Security's proprietary Collective Intelligence technology that detects and analyzes threats automatically, resulting in greater speed and better protection against Internet threats. Thanks to Collective Ingelligence, the appliances obtain regular digital signature file updates from the cloud every 90 minutes to track new malware and support the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Web Filter. Anti-spam fingerprinting is updated via Collective Intelligence every minute.

The malware detection ratio is improved in the new GateDefender Performa due to incremental PavSig, which only downloads malware signature patches instead of the complete files.
