DESTIN, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Redden Communications, Inc. of Destin, FL announces that DestinDirect.com & PCBeachesDirect.com, will serve as models for a nationwide network of standardized community directories which will operate under the brand name WhatsWhere.com. The new system is expected to become operational in 2010 and will feature a streamlined home page incorporating easy links to all featured destinations and a system wide keyword search capability.
A Proven Model
The company's highly successful directory for Destin, Florida has been in operation since 2001 and is one of the most visited and fastest growing sites in Northwest Florida. Its simple, uncluttered design provides easy navigation for visitors searching for Destin related information and high visibility, low cost advertising for local businesses. The new site for Panama City Beach incorporates the same consumer friendly features as the Destin site. Growth of visitor traffic and advertising listings for Panama City Beach and future sites is expected to occur more rapidly as a result of programs developed for the Destin site.
Content For Other Sites & Search Engines.
The firm's design philosophy is to create sites useful to both visitors planning trips to an area and residents searching for local providers of goods and services. They also provide valuable community content for other websites seeking to enhance their own content through links to sites like those for Destin & Panama City Beach, Florida. Search engines need high quality local content for their visitors and part of our mission is to provide the best available local content for them.
Not Just Another Site
"What distinguishes our operations from those of competing networks is the depth of knowledge we develop for each market we serve," stated Deronda Redden, Redden Communications CEO. "We visit each community during the site design process, join the local chamber of commerce and get to know area business leaders. This experience is invaluable in creating sites that enhance visitor experience and maximize advertising effectiveness for our clients." We believe that by providing sites that are useful enough that local residents will use them for information about the area they live in they'll stay in the system and use our sites for destinations they plan to visit.
Locked In Advertising
Advertising page positions on the sites are not alphabetical and do not rotate. Each advertiser's position is determined by their listing date. The sooner an ad is placed, the higher its page position will be. Positions are locked in for as long as the advertiser renews them at published rates. National advertisers and agencies can lock in page positions for specific destinations like Destin or Panama City Beach or secure positions throughout the planned WhatsWhere.com system. Advertising reservations are currently being accepted for destinations throughout the country.
