eXpresso(TM) Corp Showcases Cloud-based Single Sign-On and Interoperability at Burton Group Catalyst Conference

PALO ALTO, Calif., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- eXpresso Corp, an award-winning SaaS provider of real-time document collaboration for Microsoft(R) Office, will demonstrate its interoperability with leading enterprise and cloud-based identity providers and federation protocols at the Cloud SSO Interoperability event hosted by Burton Group. The event will take place in San Diego, CA on July 29th and aims to illustrate how identity federation standards such as SAML, OpenID and WS-Federation are being leveraged to secure access to cloud-based applications like eXpresso.
Recognizing the ongoing interest enterprises have in utilizing off-premise applications, the Burton Group has invited leading identity providers such as CA, Novell, Sun, TriCipher and Ping Identity as well as live SaaS application environments such as eXpresso, Salesforce, Google Apps and Cisco WebEx to wire together their systems using nothing but standard identity protocols and the Internet. The end result will be a showcase of secure interoperability in the cloud for attendees at the Burton Group conference to witness first-hand.
eXpresso enables business users to share and collaborate on business documents from any location and recently strengthened its appeal to the enterprise by offering standards-based single sign-on. "eXpresso is very pleased to be included in this interoperability demonstration," said Gavin Harvett, VP of Product Management at eXpresso Corp. "We introduced SAML-based single sign-on for the enterprise in the first quarter of 2009, and thanks to the Burton event and mature standards like SAML and WS-Federation we've been able to rapidly expand the number of identity providers that we can prove interoperability with."
eXpresso Corp will demonstrate the use of SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0 and WS-Federation protocols to achieve single sign-on from CA Federation Manager, Novell Access Manager, Sun OpenSSO Enterprise, TriCipher myOneLogin, Ping Identity PingFederate, Cloud-Identity, FuGen Solutions and Siemens.
As a further testament to the value and maturity of cloud-based services, eXpresso chose TriCipher's myOneLogin Federation Services as its enabling technology for identity federation. "The myOneLogin service has exceeded our expectations," said Harvett. "It gives us exactly what we need with minimal development and no infrastructure to maintain. The myOneLogin team has been amazing in bringing us up to speed with these security protocols and their use in the cloud."
The Burton Group Catalyst Conference takes place July 27-31 in San Diego, California. The Interoperability demonstration will profile single sign-on for cloud-based applications and will take place Wednesday evening, July 29th. For more details, visit http://www.catalyst.burtongroup.com/NA09/.
