HUGHES Executive to Address GSA Network Services Conference on Federal Emergency Preparedness via SATCOM-II Program

GERMANTOWN, Md., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), the global leader in broadband satellite network solutions and services, today announced that Tony Bardo, assistant vice president for government solutions at Hughes will participate as a speaker at the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) Network Services Conference.
Mr. Bardo will serve as a panelist with satellite industry executives addressing how GSA's SATCOM-II program offers solutions that strengthen government capabilities for emergency preparedness, Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning, and disaster recovery. The panel will discuss how SATCOM-II can enable broadcasting to the desktop, distance learning, IP data casting, and wireless communications to facilitate the government's emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
