K logix Announces TRAX - a New Service-Based IT Security Solution That Focuses on Protection From the Inside Out

BOSTON, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- K logix, an IT security solutions provider, today announced a new service-based security solution - K logix TRAX (Tactical Remediation and Advanced eXecution) - that enables customers to identify, secure and control their most critical information. Unlike other IT security solutions that only protect against vulnerabilities from the outside, TRAX focuses on a company's internal controls, data classification and disclosure, application security, and data handling procedures.

By using a three-step process, TRAX enables organization to:

1. Quantify threats
2. Prioritize risks
3. Set policies and procedures to handle security threats
   

TRAX was developed in response to customer demand for a solution to meet ever-increasing regulations, such as HIPPA, PCI DSS or Massachusetts' new security compliance standard (201 CMR 17.00) which goes into effect January 1, 2010 and adds to specific data protections laws in 48 other states.
